The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a lovely raspberry, Morello cherry and pressed flower scented bouquet, perhaps more mineral driven than the Nuits Saint-Georges. The palate is sweet on the entry with gentle grip, quite saline towards the linear, rather stern but quite compelling finish. Very good potential here.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
